In a sneak peek of tonight’s Botched July 13 episode, Dr. Terry Dubrow meets with Shannah who beforehand underwent a full hysterectomy and double mastectomy after testing optimistic for the BRCA-2 gene in 2014.
Shannah heartbreakingly opens up about her BRCA-2 prognosis, which may trigger breast, colon and ovarian most cancers. Her surgical procedures compelled her into early menopause, and Shannah even eliminated her nipples throughout her mastectomy. She did obtain gel silicone implants and later “tattooed on” new nipples, however her breasts weren’t what she hoped for.
“If you took off the dressing and regarded within the mirror, how very like this did it look?” Dr. Dubrow asks.
Shannah admits, “Not a lot.”
“So it received worse,” Dubrow states. “What was occurring with that lip of extra pores and skin? Why could not the implant get in there and increase it out?”
Dr. Dubrow will not know till he operates on Shannah what is admittedly blocking her implants from sitting correctly, however Shannah is scared that her previous mastectomy was unsuccessful. “A massive concern of mine is that it is nonetheless breast concern that they did not get,” she reveals.
As Dr. Dubrow factors out, the “entire level” of Shannah’s operations was to completely take away any threat of breast most cancers.
“It appears unlikely that [the doctor] would go away breast tissue within the left breast,” Dubrow says in a confessional.
Dubrow continues, “In the event that they did that, it will be unacceptable and, fairly frankly, devastating.”
