Everyone has at least one thing that’s bringing them joy during these wild times. For some people, it may be scrolling through their favorite pug’s IG, and for others, it might be watching the most adorable little girl get the cutest hairstyle. I personally fall into the latter group, and I’m guessing you do too. This week on The Braid Up, our hair guru, Stasha Harris, is upping the cute factor and introducing you to a new style called the loc bow (which, yup, is exactly what it sounds like). I dare you not to smile while watching this video.

Thinking of recreating this look? Here’s a few pointers to keep in mind:
1. Start by re-twisting your locs so they look fresh. Add a dime-sized amount of edge control gel and, beginning at the top, twist the loc clockwise until its super tight.
2. Hold your locs in place with clamps while twisting. Not only does this secure the twist, but it also sections off the finished locs so that they don’t get in the way of your twisting process.
3. Sew up the bows so they don’t come apart. Yup, your stylist is going to have to pull out a needle and thread. Sorry, your regular ol’ hair tie won’t be able to get the job done.
